Misty morning tree, Oyster Bay, N.Y.

Last Wednesday we took a group of children, from the school where I teach, to a park on the north shore of Long Island. This tree in the mist of the morning, caught my eye. Roy

Praying Mantis

Taking the children to the playground, behind the school where I work, I looked down and spotted this creature on the grass. It momentarily stopped my world! I placed my open palm in front of him and he walked onto my hand. I took him to this heart shaped leaf just out of harm's way, where he stayed for a long time allowing us to gaze upon his silent presence.
